Intellectual Property in Composites Processing

A composite manufacturer was sued for patent infringement of a process patent for simultaneous reaction and shaping of a glass-reinforced, moisture-cured resin. Our client questioned the validity of the patent based on undocumented use of the process prior to the avowed invention date. We identified and chronicled two specific applications that had been overlooked by the patent examiner. The case was settled favorably for our client.
